So it has been forever since I have posted on this.  I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and has a Happy New Year.  Please keep my brother in your prayers.  It seems like there will be even tougher times ahead for him.

This is a picture of him on Christmas day while he was on his patrol watch.

It's been a while.

Well it certainly has been a while since I have posted on here.  I guess i just need to write something to get my emotions out. My brother finally left this afternoon.  I won't be seeing him for another 7-9 months.  He was back in town for past 10 days and my family and I went up north for a few days.  Spent a night in Glen Harbor and then one night on Mackinac Island.  It was very relaxing.  My brother spent the night with one of his buddies who works on the Island.  They of course went out and partied. (snuck into the fort at night also) I spent the night taking long exposure pictures of the moon and Mackinac Bridge. It would have been cool to get some night shots inside the fort. To bad my brother didnt get me.

It was very emotional at the airport this afternoon when my brother left.  There were a couple of other marines who were leaving as well, saying their last goodbye's to their loved ones. Since it was the first monday of the month there were also new recruits being shiped off to basic training in San Diego as well.  It seemed like it was yesterday my brother did that.  We stayed untill my brothers plane took off.  My mom of course in tears.  Me almost on the brink of crying. Before he left my brother said to me "I should have listened to mom and dad and stayed in school.  Don't be stupid like me and join the marines. Study hard." I told my brother that what he was doing is the most important thing anyone can do. Even more important than going to school. That he picked the hardest thing to do and he followed through it till the end. No one in our family can say that.  So I ask everyone to please keep him and his fellow marines in your prayers that they will be watched over and protected.

Ok so I'm finally updating. Another Birthday come and gone and I can't believe that I'm 19 already. The times sure do fly by. It seems only yesterday I was standing in line nervously waiting to go to Kindergarten at I.H.M. Now I have finished one year of College life. (1 week to go) Looking back it amazes me how many people I have encountered through the years. It must be in the millions. It's odd and amazing to see the people that really care about you stick with you for all of those years. Even if it hasn't been all 19.  Your true friends stick with you and will always be there for you. It's odd to think how fate seems to intertwine people from your past back into the present. Friends that I had a few years ago are now suddenly brightening my days again with their laughter and fun.

Life is always a journey. It always has a way of being nasty and being great at different occasions. Sometimes things don't always work out. Sometimes they do. But in the end it's for the best. On one such occasion I never though when I wanted something to happen it would happen. Well it happened with Ian and I and is worthy of mentioning. Sitting on a bench Ian and I were discussing the chances of a certain female walking by the very moment we were there. So I jokingly looked around but then realized that that certain female was walking by us. I sat there and gaped and so did Ian.  It was crazy that it happened. What are the chances of that ever happening to anyone. As Ian said "It was if the universes were merging on a single moment in time" Life throws us so many surprises

Well life is never fair nor is it always what you want it. But you always have to keep moving. Keep dancing to the beats of life. When you trip over something life gives you...keep on dancing. It does you no good to look back and wonder what happened. You will have missed all the other wonderful beats and sounds of life. Life is like an Endless Waltz...Keep dancing!
